I can barely contain my excitement as I write this! Next week, something incredible is happening that I’ve been waiting months to share with you all.

The amazing singer NAMGAR and her band are finally coming to Japan! You might have heard about her – the New York Times called her “the Björk of Siberia.” When I first read that review, I knew we had to bring this magical music to our audiences!

For those who remember, NAMGAR and Tomona performed together in the spectacular “Samurai’s Bachiana” concert back in 2014. Many of you have been waiting for her return ever since, still moved by the memory of her beautiful voice. I wasn’t around back then (I’m still pretty new to the team!), so this will be my very first time experiencing NAMGAR’s live performance. I can barely contain my excitement – I’ve been listening to recordings, but I know nothing compares to hearing that incredible voice live! I’m especially looking forward to experiencing NAMGAR’s mystical voice and the beautiful sounds of traditional Buryat instruments, filled with exotic melodies from a distant land.

A Musical Journey to Siberia

NAMGAR creates something truly extraordinary. She brings us the mystical folk music born from Siberia’s vast wilderness – traditional Buryat melodies that carry the spirit of endless steppes, towering mountain ranges, deep forests, and the crystal-clear Lake Baikal (can you imagine water so pure you can see 40 meters down?).

What makes this even more special is her collaboration with our beloved pianist Tomona Miyazaki. When traditional Buryat folk music meets classical piano, something magical happens. It’s like two musical worlds creating a bridge between cultures and hearts.
